this is the graduation speech we should have.

I am honored that I have been chosen by the powers that be to address the valedictorian’s speech to you today. It is a task that I have relished, the chance to say farewell to every one of you.

Unfortunately, although I wish I could deliver a stirring speech about how much I have enjoyed my previous four years of high school, I find myself unable to. I have despised secondary education at the Overseas Family School.

Truth be told I have dreamed of tonight as confirmation that this experience is over, that the ride has ended and I can extricate myself from its clutches. I cannot honestly call high school a nightmare, far from it. I consider myself generally content with life and in these halls I have met some of the most engaging and worthy people I will ever meet. To these worthies (you know who you are) thank you, but as for the rest of you…

Perhaps the school believes in the old Roman training belief “Train hard, fight easy”. It certainly would explain the mind numbing levels of bureaucratic bullshit the student body has to put up with and even gives it some sort of purpose. All the pettiness of certain members of staff, all the idiocy and incompetence is purposely put on show to prepare the student body for life in the real world. After four years of constant irritation the paper work of life after high school will be a breeze.

Yet, something tells me that this isn’t the case. Some worrying part of me, a part shared by my assembled fellows today whispers in my ear that all of this…this shit has no purpose, that it really is runaway egos, slavish dedication to arbitrary rules and base human foibles that drives all the continued frustrations of High School.

Rest assured honored faculty, beloved parents, friends, family. I am not using my last speech to my year group to lambast a system I am no longer a part of. I am proud to have known each and every one of you; you have all left your indelible stamps on my personality. To my friends I bid you farewell with the parting words of “Fastidium Trado”. To those members of the faculty who have helped me understand both myself and the world around me I can only hope that you continue to inspire future generations as you have inspired me, the world would be a darker place without your guidance. To my family, and I’m sure this is a sentiment we can all echo here, thanks for putting up with eighteen years of my moodiness, anger, laziness, and general idiocy. I’ll try my damndest to do you proud.

And as for the rest of you, the ones who I’ve considered to have failed in their duty to help raise the leaders of tomorrow, I have two choice phrases for you. The first being “Go fuck yourself” as evidently you lot could use a bit of relaxation and secondly I would like you to remember that “Respect is earned, not given”.

I think that is all I wanted to say. High School has been a trial but we assembled today have succeeded, with the aid of the dedicated and each other. We may face darkness in the tumbling paths of the future, periods of aching pain and disillusionment. But when faced with these moments of despair, remember this moment where we are filled with fire, ready to take on the whole fucking world and keep going on.

I just finished a book today
So I shall recommend the movie adaptation

It's about this group of people
who saw a job advertisement with a hourly pay of 112k Japanese Yen
so they signed up for it and ended up in this so called 'experiment'
The group of 10 people (there's 12 people in the novel though)
will be kept in an underground facility for 7days
and as the trailer shows
each of them will be given a weapon that can be used to murder the other people in the facility.

What happens... I guess it's quite easy to figure out right?

The book is quite nice lah
at first I thought it was a copy of 'And Then There Were None'
But apparently the author only included certain things to make reference to that book
and the author reads a lot of foreign suspense/murder stories as seen from the references made in the book.

There's no news of it showing in Singapore though...

Recently we have discovered a few of our students using a certain programme to generate the GC Reset Screen to give the impression that the memory of the graphic calculator (TI84 or TI84SE) has been reset when actually it has not. This is a global GSM phone. It can be used with AT&T and T-Mobile USA, but without 3G.

Introduction and Design:

You know that “cycle” and “cyclic” are among the most overused words in the fashion world and we often get to see things that used to be in vogue become all the rage years later. The rule doesn’t really seem to apply to the inhabitants of the cell phone universe, although we have recently witnessed a major u-turn back to handsets with really small overall size, say, models like the Nokia 8390 and Panasonic G51 that were massively popular back in 2002-2003. The market adoption of huge cell phone displays was, however, to change all this, since larger screens simply require heftier weight and increased physical size. Quite a few “mini” devices have been introduced this year, say the Xperia X10 mini and mini pro, HTC HD mini and LG Mini GD880. The former two are tiny indeed, while the latter pair is better described as compact alongside of most contemporary devices.

The guys over at LG appear to have hit the nail on the head and the Mini GD800 seems like a definite success with regard to size. We believe them when they say the handset is the world’s smallest cell phone to integrate a 3.2-inch screen. The overall design is so simplified that it even looks a tad incomplete – the GD880 looks more like one of those nameless devices manufacturers use to showcase new operating systems. We have to admit the LG Mini GS880 reminds us of the prototype of the iPhone 4, it just happens to be a bit more jagged and angular.

The build quality is really good – the metal elements give the phone a solid and reliable feel, not to mention the handset is not on the weighty side of life either (102gr). The LG Mini GD880 is slightly discomforting to carry about in your pocket, but feels awesome in your hand. Its rubber back, however, doesn’t exactly help towards a better, safer grip.

Why? You ask. Prom $90. Clothes $410. Total = $500 kaching = RM 1200 = goddamn alot of money to spend in malaysia.

In other words, we have our prom in Malaysia! Then our trip can be extended until so so long that those 42k people (see note below) can even go run rest then come back join us again.

Erm it looks interesting to me
It's about this pair of sisters
The elder sister Doris had a dream of opening a cafe
and so she opened one
but the business wasn't good
so the younger sister suggested that they should have something special in the shop
and so their shop allows people to exchange for stuff
Then people exchange and er stuff happens.

3. Au Revoir Taipei (29 July)

4. Liar Game Final Stage (29 July)
If you're a fan of the first 2 seasons of the japanese drama
or have read the manga
this is a movie not to be missed
It'll be the final stage of the Liar Game tournament for the 2 main characters
where the game will take place in the 'Garden of Eden'
Trailer doesn't say much
so you'll have to be a fan of the series to like/understand it

5. Nodame Cantabile - The Finale
Part 2 of the 2 part movie for the end of the real live action series of Nodame Cantabile
Similar to Liar Game
You have to have watched the drama (one season, 2 SPs) or the anime
or read the manga
and more importantly you have to have watched part 1 of the movie
to understand why things are like that
and appreciate how things flow =D
But I particularly like this part 2 I guess
from the looks of the trailer

Recommend anyone to watch the drama during free time
since it's such a light hearted drama =D

1. Inception
First read about it on 8-Days
apparently the script writer took 10 years to finish the script
and he's the guy who made The Dark Night
plus there's Leonardo Dicaprio and Ken Watanabe
Must watch =D

Superb cinematography
the trailer shows it =D
lovely plot
It's a kind of erm mystery story I guess

For those who do not understand Japanese
it's about a teacher named moriguchi
Her daughter died when she was four
the police said that it was an accident but she realises that it was murder
and the murderers were 2 students from her class, 1B
so when she's about to quit her job as a teacher
she tells her students about the incident (which is the opening scene from the trailer)
and tells them that she is plotting a revenege

Yup that's about it
BTW the theme song for that movie is "Last Flowers" by Radiohead.
Nice song that suits the mood of the movie
Sad thing is there's no news about it showing in Singapore =(

Another nice movie is Nodame!
But just as reviews say
if you've never watched the drama, then you won't understand what's happening

i cant find a good place for tim sum sorry, all the places i called up have ridiculous timings (like 11. 30 to 1, which is very unfeasible) most suitable places are still the normal dining restaurants. most likely gonna be a dinner

according to what i found online, prices range from 15-20. 35$ for a 2 man seafood platter.

if you have any better suggestions to offer (please be feasible, consider the timing, pricing and SERVING before you suggest, i dont want the dinner to cost $5000) tell me please :) thank you.

chances are its going to be a saturday evening over the next month. ill get more info from junior class first

there are 2 chalets available from 15-17June
quite a few available from 31May to 3June (But I have H3 test on 3June and Ningyu's test is on 1June)
and from like 8-10June (I'll be in Taiwan D=)

Coasta sands has a lot of rooms left though
